Terms of Use
1. Agreement
By downloading, accessing, or using StoryChat AI, you agree to these Terms of Use with Bison Brush LLC. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies unless Bison Brush LLC provides a different licensed application agreement.
2. The app
StoryChat AI provides local-first chat, draft organization, and post-card creation tools on supported Apple devices. AI features use one of two local Qwen3 models: a standard 1.7B model or a compact 0.6B model selected for your device. Features may depend on device capability, operating-system support, available storage, and Apple’s delivery of one model pack through Managed Background Assets.
3. Open-source model attribution
StoryChat AI includes open-weight Qwen3 models from the Qwen team at Alibaba Cloud, provided under the Apache License 2.0. Your use of the app remains subject to these terms and the applicable open-source license terms for those model weights.
4. Your content and output
You retain ownership of the content you enter. You are responsible for having the rights to use, store, and process that material. As between you and Bison Brush LLC, you retain your rights in cards and other output you create, subject to rights in source material and applicable law. AI-generated output may resemble output generated for others and may not qualify for intellectual-property protection in every jurisdiction.
5. Complimentary cards
Each installation includes three free successful post-card generations. An initial generation or alternate version uses one credit only after the post card is successfully saved. Failed or canceled attempts do not use a credit. Credits are stored locally, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and reset if you delete and reinstall the app because StoryChat AI has no account or backend.
Free users may edit, save, export, share, and delete post cards they generated. StoryChat Pro is not required for those finishing actions.
6. StoryChat Pro subscriptions
StoryChat Pro unlocks unlimited post-card generation and alternate versions while the subscription is active. It is offered as monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions processed by Apple through StoreKit. Current United States prices are displayed in the app before purchase.
A seven-day introductory free trial may be available on the monthly or annual product for eligible users. Apple determines eligibility at the subscription-group level, so starting or using an offer on one product may affect eligibility for the other. At the end of a trial, the subscription renews at the displayed price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges your App Store account and manages billing, renewals, refunds, cancellation, and restoration. You can manage or cancel in your App Store account settings and use Restore Purchases in StoryChat AI.
7. AI output
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, duplicated, biased, or unsuitable. Review all output before relying on or sharing it. StoryChat AI does not provide professional, medical, legal, financial, emergency, or safety advice.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use StoryChat AI unlawfully or abusively; infringe another person’s rights; interfere with the app, model files, or platform security; attempt to extract or redistribute protected app resources except as permitted by applicable licenses; or use the app to create content prohibited by applicable law.
9. Availability and changes
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features and supported devices. We may update these terms for future releases. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
10. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, StoryChat AI is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bison Brush LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill arising from StoryChat AI. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
12. Governing terms
These terms are governed by applicable United States law, without limiting consumer protections that apply where you live. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
